Our Projects Young People and Families P.O.P. - Place of Potential P.O.P. (Place of Potential) is a FUN project for 11-18 year olds, building their essential life skills (such as communication, aspirations and timekeeping) through a series of activities based around pop culture. The programme runs for 6 weeks, after-school, during term time. Each session runs 4.30-6.30 at our Town Centre location and we can cover travel expenses to get to us and back home. Funded by the Department for Education, the project aims to build the "essential life skills" of Doncaster's young people. The sessions are based on pop culture so we do things like The Great Doncaster Bake Off and The Popprentice! The sessions are designed to be fun and interactive and give the young people a chance to socialise with peers whilst learning some key life lessons. The project is primarily aimed at working with young people from households with a history of potentially harmful behaviours, but we're open to working with anyone and can even deliver the work in schools, if that's better suited. If it sounds like something you'd be interested in then get in touch.
